Barnstormer is another
one of Spatterdock's larger cottages. Within an exterior, barnlike
structure, there is an interior with a unique "WOW" factor.
Original artwork is found throughout the house. Stunning Caddo Lake
photographs (graciously shared by Carolyn Brown), a well known Dallas
photographer, www.carolynbrownphotographer.com,
line the walls of the living area.
A country kitchen is fully
equipped. Barnstormer has two and a half baths, one bedroom with
a king bed, one with a queen, one with two fulls and a sleeping
loft with a double bed. Barnstormer sleeps 10.
Barnstormer has an open porch and a screened porch. The grounds
are spacious, with a patio, boathouse and deck over the water and
a board walk that winds through the cypress.

The
spacious high ceilinged, light and airy main room contains a
conversation setting, most unique table and chairs made of gnarled
roots and a row of antique opera chairs. |
A sleeping loft rises
at one end of the main room. In the loft is your great grandmother's
iron double bed.
A country kitchen is
fully equipped and with all you will need for a fast snack or preparation
for a gourmet meal. Along with modern appliances, the kitchen holds
antique cupboards and tables.
Barnstormer
has three bedrooms, a master with a king bed and a private bath.
The fisherman's room contains two full beds, and the Picasso
room has one queen bed. These bedrooms plus the loft provides
sleeping for 10. |

Two
and a half baths and an outside shower are in Barnstormer. The
largest bath contains a great soaking tub, inside and outside
showers. This bath features original colorful window and wall
mosaics. |

are the norm. |
The
peaceful waterfront is a short walk away. Along the shore, guests
can meander on a Cypress lined walkway along the edge of the
water that borders the acre and a half of Barnstormer. |
